When you get to Alleppey, you will notice that the whole area looks really different. The hills that are green and misty are not there anymore; instead, you will see a lot of water and fields where they grow rice and coconut trees. You will see canals and lakes around Alleppey. To really experience Alleppey, you should take a ride on a houseboat. Go through Kuttanad and Vembanad Lake. When you are on the houseboat, you will get to eat the tasty food from Kerala. If you are in Alleppey during August and September, you will see the Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race, which is something that only happens in Kerala.
