Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Chennai (Arrival)

Our representative will welcome you at Chennai Railway Station or airport. Chennai is the capital city of Tamil Nadu state. It used to be known as Madras until 1996. Chennai is an important place for culture, money, and education in South India. You will go to the hotel and check in; then you will go see the sights of Chennai. We will visit the Government Museum, which is one of the oldest museums in India, but it is closed on Fridays. Then we will go to the Chennai Snake Park, Gindi Poongaa, also known as Guindy Childrens Park. This place is closed on Tuesdays. We will also see the Gandhi Mandapam, which is a series of memorials on Sardar Patel Road, and the Kapaleeswarar Temple, which is a temple for Lord Shiva. You will see the Anna Square, which was built to honor the leader Arinzar Annadurai, and the Dr. MGR Memorial, which is on the Marina beach and was built to remember M. G. Ramachandran. We will also visit the Chennai Marina Lighthouse and the Marina Beach, which is the longest beach in India and the second longest in the world. Walking on Marina Beach when the sun sets is really nice, and the beach turns into a fair with lots of stalls selling things like artifacts, handcrafted items, jewelry, and food. After that you will go back to the hotel. Stay there for the night. Chennai is a city, and you will have a lot of fun here. You will see things in Chennai.

Day 2: Chennai - Kanchipuram

In the morning after we have breakfast, we will check out of the hotel. Drive to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is a place that was once the capital of the kings. It is also well known as a centre of education where people come to learn about Hinduism and other things like Jainism and Buddhism. When we get to Kanchipuram, we will check into the hotel. Then we will go to the Kamakshi Amman Temple. This temple is for the goddess Kamakshi, who is also known as Goddess Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari, another name for Goddess Parvati. We will also visit the Varadharaja Perumal Temple, whichs a temple for Lord Vishnu. This temple is one of the 108 temples of Lord Vishnu that some very important people called Alwars visited. Then we will go to the Kailasanathar Temple, whichs a very old temple from the 7th century. This temple is for Lord Shiva. Was built by a Pallava king named Rajasimha, also known as Narasimhavarman II. After that we will visit the Ekambareswarar Temple, whichs a Hindu temple for Lord Shiva. This temple is special because it is associated with the five elements and specifically with the element of earth. We will also go to the Kumarakottam Temple, whichs for Lord Murugan. Later we can go shopping in Kanchipuram, which is famous for its beautiful hand-woven silk sarees. At the end of the day we will go back to the hotel. Stay there overnight.

Day 3: Kanchipuram - Tiruvannamalai - Gingee Fort - Chidambaram

The morning after breakfast I checked out of the hotel. Drove to Tiruvannamalai. This place is really historical and a spiritual center in Tamil Nadu. Tiruvannamalai is famous for the Annamalaiyar Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. People worship him as Arunachalesvara or Annamalaiyar. The temple is huge and one of the largest in India. It is located at the base of the Annamalai Hills. The temple has four towers called gopurams. The Shiva Lingam here is connected to the five elements, including fire. Goddess Parvati is shown as Unnamalai Amman. The Annamalaiyar temple is special. Linked to the solar plexus. Then I drove to Gingee Fort, called Chenji Fort. This is a structure that was last changed in the 13th century by the Vijayanagara emperors. The British called it the Troy of the East. This fort is strong. Has great architecture. Then I drove to Chidambaram. When I arrived at Chidambaram, I checked into the hotel. I had a stay, at the hotel.

Day 4: Chidambaram - (with Pichavaram)

In the morning after we have our breakfast, we will go for sightseeing at Chidambaram. Chidambaram is a temple town thats very famous for the Thillai Nataraja Temple. This temple is really big. It covers an area of 40 acres. Chidambaram is a place because it is located at the center of the worlds magnetic equator. The temple is very old. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is worshipped as Nataraja, which means he is the dancer. We also worship gods and goddesses like Shivakami Amman, Ganesh, Murugan, and Govindaraja Perumal, who is also known as Vishnu. The Nataraja Temple at Chidambaram is associated with the five elements of nature and specifically with the sky or space. After we have our lunch we will drive to Pichavaram. Pichavaram is a beautiful place with many islands and a lot of water covered with mangrove trees. The mangrove forest at Pichavaram is one of the biggest in India. It covers an area of about 1100 hectares. This forest is separated from the Bay of Bengal by a sand bar. We will then drive back to our hotel at Chidambaram, where we will stay overnight. The Thillai Nataraja Temple and Pichavaram are both places to visit. Chidambaram and its temple are very historic and ancient. We will have a time exploring Chidambaram and Pichavaram.

Day 5: Chidambaram - Chennai (Drop)

In the morning after you have your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel at Chidambaram. Then you will drive to Chennai. When you get to Chennai, go to Chennai. Kanchipuram. Tiruvannamalai.
