Tajikistan is a cool place that takes you up to the "Roof of the World" in the Pamirs. The Pamirs are home to some of the amazing mountains on earth. These mountains are really tall and beautiful.. Ajikistan is not just about the mountains. This old land has a lot of history. You can feel the history when you see the temples that are falling apart. You can hear the history when people speak in their special languages. The people who live in the mountains have their ways of doing things. They have been doing things the way for thousands of years. The people of Ajikistan are very proud of who they are where they come from. They have kept their traditions and customs alive for a long time. Ajikistan is a place, with a lot of character. The people and the mountains of Ajikistan make it an interesting place to visit.

Trip Highlights

The "Roof of the World" Adventure: Go to the Pamir mountain range and see its grandeur. The trip takes you to Safed Dara Ski Resort. It is a place, 2,200 meters, above sea level. You can enjoy winter sports there. The sports are world class.
Architectural Opulence at Kokhi Navruz: It is the most luxurious national tea house in Central Asia. This place is like a palace for things that are made by hand. You will see carvings in the wood pretty stones put together in mosaics and beautiful paintings on the ceilings. All of these things show how talented the people of Tajik are at making things.
Glimpse into Antiquity: Take a step back in time at the Hissar Historical and Cultural Reserve. You can explore the Hissar Fortress and see old ruins that show what life was like in Tajikistan, over 3,000 years ago.
Modern Capital Charm:Dushanbe has a lot of charm. You can see the Soviet style mixed with the new pride of Tajik people. The city has a park called Victory Park where you can relax. Then there is the big National Flagpole, which is actually a record breaker.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met by the group at 18:30 for a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy a relaxing first night in Dushanbe.

Day 2: Dushanbe Tour

After having breakfast at the hotel meet in the lobby at 8:30 for a tour of Dushanbe, the Tajik capital. We start the morning with a walk in Victory Park, which is really green and nice. Then we visit Ismoil Somoni Square, where you can see one of the flagpoles in the world. At 1:00 PM we go 30 kilometers outside the city to the Hissar Historical and Cultural Reserve. This place is very important for history with the Hissar Fortress and lots of artifacts. When we get back to Dushanbe we visit Kokhi Navruz, which is the biggest and most impressive national tea house in Central Asia. It is famous for its craftsmanship. The day ends with a walk at night through the lit streets of Dushanbe before we head back, to the hotel.

Day 3: Ski center Safed Dara

After breakfast lets meet in the hotel lobby at 8:30 for a fun trip to the Safed Dara Ski Resort. The resort is 70 km from Dushanbe in the Varzob Gorge and is 2,200 meters high. Safed Dara has a winter experience with many things to do like good ski slopes, an outdoor hockey rink and an indoor pool. You can also use the gym, spa and sports courts. Families and people who want to relax can enjoy the "House of Santa Claus " a cinema and the lively "Afsonai Safed Dara" area, which has shops and different food options. We will leave the resort after a day of skiing and head back to our hotel, in Dushanbe.

Day 4: Departure Day

After breakfast at the hotel go to the Dushanbe Mall for shopping. The Dushanbe Mall has international brands and local products. When you finish shopping at the Dushanbe Mall you will go back, to the hotel. Then get ready to leave the hotel for good.
